On January 8 I completed my 6th marathon at Walt Disney World. This was my 3rd time running at Disney World and with by far the best weather. It was in the high 40's at the start and warmed up to about 60 by the time I finished. I finished with a time of 4 hours 27 minutes. Better than I expected especially since this was the marathon I had prepared the least for. I was just hoping to finish under 5 and be able to walk. Both goals were reached and aside from some nasty shin splints in my left leg I didn't have any real serious injuries. AND AS A BONUS some of my family were there to see me finish. I will include some pictures and finish with this statement. There isn't a better organized and run large marathon than at Walt Disney World. The only issue is the early start time and the walk from the drop off to the start line but everything else is efficiently run and all of the volunteers and medical staff are wonderful.

Next time I'll actually discuss something specific about running and share how the recovery from shin splints is going.
